2013 Arizona Lacrosse League Power Point System

 The Arizona Lacrosse League uses a power point rating system to determine playoff seeding for the 12 team State Championship Bracket for seeds 1-12 and the Lou Kissling Cup Tournament.

The Lou Kissling Cup will be played as a 1 day round robin tournament on May 4^th resolving to 2 teams. Those teams will play in the Cup Final on May 10^th before the State Championship Final.

The Cup Tournament will be at Reach 11 Sports Complex East on Saturday May 4th. All Varsity teams wishing to participate that have not already contacted the league should do so immediately.

Power Points are acquired through two methods: Victories and strength of schedule. A winning team gets points for the victory, as well as a share of their opponents’ and opponents’ opponents’ accumulated victory points for the entire season. Strength of schedule does not take into account non-league games. Margin of victory is not a factor. Teams are not penalized for close wins over lower-ranked teams nor benefit from close losses to higher-ranked teams.

Dates and Matchups for the the Championship bracket are below. Games are hosted by the higher seed in the 1^st and quarterfinal rounds.  The semifinals  will be at Corona Del Sol High School and the finals will be May 10th at Chaparral High School.
